If you’re shameless and you know it…
There’s just something about Mondays that requires a little extra boost of good news. So, why not help us all out and shamelessly self-promote your good news!
And think ahead: I can’t promise we’ll be shameless self-promoting next Monday, since it’s Labor Day.

I’ll start:
Wed., Sept. 19th, 7p, I’ll be reading at the Belmont Hills Library with Arlene Bernstein & Eileen D’Angelo. It’s the Autumn Equinox… go figure! For details & a map, check out the Friends of Poetry website

The Schuylkill Valley Journal staff will read at the Manayunk Art Center in Philadelphia on Sunday, September 9, from 3:00 to 5:00.
Scheduled to read are Peter Krok, Tree Riesener, Kelley Jean White, Fran Metzman, George Fleck, Ray Greenblatt, Mark Wilhelm, Michael Morell, Bill Van Buskirk, Joseph Hauser, Elisha Darville, and Dan Maguire. After the staff reading, there will be an open reading for attendees.
If you are thinking of submitting to the SVJ, this will be a good opportunity to hear the editors and talk to them. We will also accept submissions at the reading, so polish them up and bring them along!
The Art Center is located at 419 Green Lane (rear). There is a $4.00 admission fee and light refreshments are provided.
This is an addendum to my announcement about the September 9th reading. We are especially interested in getting more submissions of short stories and essays.
On Tuesday, September 11th, at 6:30 P.M., The North Sea Poetry Scene’s Art Forum television program will be devoted to poems, thoughts, remembrances, and messages of hope for the future, while honoring the mutual feelings of loss and pain experienced on September 11th, seven years ago.
Tune in to Cablevision Public Access Channel 20 (From Brookhaven to the East End.) The program will be co-hosted by Tammy Nuzzo-Morgan and Barbara Reiher-Meyers. DVD copies of the program will be made available.
“Postscript 9/11: The Pentagon,” my poem, has been chosen as one of the featured poems.
