Or, if you happen to be heading up to NYC for the AWP Conference, you should check out the Courting Risk reading on Thursday night, featuring a fine line up of diverse women writers from across the country. Sadly, I don’t have anything to self-promote, but I’d like to remind everyone about the special book launch & reading this Thursday for Elizabeth McFarland’s new book Over the Summer Water.

Well, I'd just like to say that my sonnet "Hurricane Felix" was a finalist for the prestigious 2007 Howard Nemerov Sonnet Award, the second time a sonnet of mine has earned such an honor. It will be plublished along with the winning sonnet by Mike Juster, and the eleven other finalists, in the 2008 issue of Measure. It would be rude not to, really, wouldn’t it?
