Mad Poets Bonfire on May 17th
MAD POETS BONFIRE
On Saturday, May 17th at 6:30 p.m., the Mad Poets Society will host a Mad Poets Bonfire, an open outdoor forum for poets, songwriters, musicians, drummers, and anyone who enjoys poetry and music. The bonfire will be held at Ridley Creek State Park, Area # 13, Organized Tenting Area A. This special event is hosted by Richard Bank.
The event is free and open to the public. Bring your poetry or your favorite poets’ work, friends, flashlight, blanket and/or lawn chairs, musical instruments to enjoy an spring night under the stars to the sounds of poetry and music. We bring the marshmellows!
Mad Poets have rented the campsite from 3 pm on Saturday through 3 pm on Sunday. Participants and listeners can camp overnight at the park, or just come to the bonfire, which will begin at dusk on Saturday night, May 17. You must be in the park by dusk, or the gates will be locked. If you want to come only for the open forum and bonfire, and do not plan to camp overnight, you can still get out of the park afterward through an nearby access road, but you must be in the park by 8:00 p.m., because the main park gates will close.
