Camelia Nocella studied poetry at Temple University, the University of Pennsylvania and the University of the Arts. She has been a featured reader at Robin’s Book Store in Philadelpha, Bryn Mawr Barnes and Noble, the Main Line, the Wallingford and Manayunk Art Centers, Hedgerow Theater and at the libraries of Haverford, Landowne and Swarthmore as well as other venues in both Philadelphia and New York. Camelia has given poetry presentations for the Delaware Valley Women’s Conference at Delaware County Community College as well as participated in the Philadelphia Fringe Festival. In addition, she was the associate editor of The Mad Poets Review, was an award-winning poet at the Philadelphia Writer’s Conference and a member of the Wild Women Of Poetry. Currently a retired Philadelphia School District teacher, Camelia is a member of the Mad Poets Society and hosts a poetry series for this organization at the Regency Café in Lansdowne PA. Her publication, a collection of her poems titled, “it has been a long time since,” is mainly a poetic autobiography published by Infinity Press.
