The Mad Poets Festival will be held RAIN OR SHINE, on Sun. Oct. 6th  - even if the street fair is canceled due to rain.

The Mad Poets Festival will offer a variety of original poetry from some of the finest poets in the area.  This year's event features approximately forty locally and nationally known poets who will read from original work and offer “food for thought,” simultaneously with the Media Food and Crafts Festival, at Media Borough Hall.  Poetry readings, some with musical accompaniment, will begin at noon and end at 5 p.m.  Light refreshments will be served.

If you are interested in sharing five minutes of your poetry, space may still be available on the schedule to share your poems.  Email: madpoets@comcast.net for information, with “2019 Festival” in the subject line.

Please bring a non-perishable food item and/or canned good(s) for the food drive as your “ticket” for admission to the Mad Poets Festival.  This year, Mad Poets Society will help to support the Media Free Store at 350 W. State St. in Media, a project of Transition Town Media.

The event is sponsored by the Mad Poets Society.  Events are graciously funded in part by grants from the PA Council on the Arts, Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance, Five County Arts Fund.   Special thanks to Media Borough Authority and Media Borough Council.
