DIRECTIONS TO THE REDWOOD COMMUNITY PLAYHOUSE - 3704 6TH STREET, UPLAND PARK, UPLAND, PA19015
(PLEASE NOTE ! SOME OF THE LANDMARKS HAVE CHANGED !!!! DON’T RELY ON THEM.)
FROMI-95 or the Turnpike
TAKEROUTEI-476 B Chester - Plymouth Meeting (also known as the Blue Route)
Go to Exit # 1 - MacDade Blvd., West. (If you are traveling south on the Blue Route from the turnpike or the Schuylkill, Mac Dade Blvd is the last exit before you hit I-95, and you’ll make a right at the end of the ramp to go WEST on MacDade Blvd.; BUT If you take I-95 to the Blue Route and are traveling north on the Blue Route, then you want to take the very first exit, which is Mac Dade Blvd, go WEST.)
Take MacDade Blvd. about one mile to Rt. 352 (Edgemont Avenue) At this corner, you will see Nativity Church, a Precision Tune, an A-Plus Mini-Market and a Sunoco Gas Station)
Turn Right onto Rt. 352 (Edgemont Avenue)
Go 1.2 miles to Brookhaven Road and turn left. (There's a GREEN STREET SIGN over the road, so it’s easy to see; also there should still be a Walgreen’s Pharmacy on one corner, and a big purple awning for a tobacco rolling store, I think it’s called REBEL INDIAN SMOKE SHOP; and the red roof of Houser=s Automotive and Keystone Auto Electrical)
Follow Brookhaven Road for 1.4 miles ** Upland Park is on your right (you'll see an open field; but watch for the sign for Upland Park which faces the street, not passing traffic). Redwood Playhouse is in the park.
NOTE: During this last 1.4 miles, on Brookhaven Rd., the road curves to the left and there is one traffic light. Just go straight. You will pass these landmarks (if they haven't changed!):
Bridgewater Apartments* Toby Farms Elementary, then * there's an open field with a flagpole, and a County of Delaware sign, and a Welcome to Upland Boro sign. Turn right into the driveway, which is lined with red posts. When the driveway splits, stay right. You'll see the Redwood Playhouse Bldg.
