Steven Concert, Harveys Lake, PA - A wannabe-rock-star, he arrived late to the discovery of poetry. In 2019, Steven began what will be a life-long project to re-write Shakespeare’s words. While his work as been rejected by some of the most prestigious poetry publishers in the United States, he soldiers on. A member since 1996, he was recently elected as 2nd Vice President for the National Federation of State Poetry Societies.

Carol Clark Williams, former Poet Laureate for York, PA, has described Steven's writing as “coming from his soul, and it is a powerful soul working toward clarity.” Another former Poet Laureate for York, PA, Christine Lincoln compared Steven's poetry to "distilled water, so pure and clear you can see yourself in it."

His first full-length collection, Steer Into the Skid, is forth-coming from North 415 Press. His manuscript was selected as a Finalist in NFSPS’ 2021 Stevens Manuscript Competition. He has recently been published in ONE ART, Common Threads, Art Through the Eyes of the Mad Poets, Poetry 2021, and Word Fountain. He has published three poetry books: Too Blind To See (1996), Standing in the Chaos (2006), and No Mortar Required (2013).

Alison Hicks was awarded the 2021 Birdy Prize from Meadowlark Press for Knowing Is a Branching Trail. Previous collections are You Who Took the Boat Out and Kiss, a chapbook Falling Dreams, and a novella Love: A Story of Images. Her work has appeared in Eclipse, Gargoyle, Permafrost, and Poet Lore. She was named a finalist for the 2021 Beullah Rose prize from Smartish Pace, and nominated for a Pushcart Prize by Green Hills Literary Lantern.
