Erica Abbott (she/her) is a Philadelphia-based poet and writer whose work has previously appeared or is forthcoming in Philadelphia Stories, Button Poetry, Midway Journal, and other journals. She is the author of Self-Portrait as a Sinking Ship, is a Best of the Net nominee, and volunteers for Button Poetry, Write or Die Magazine, and Variant Literature. Alexis Young is a Pittsburgh native who holds a BA in Film Studies from The University of Pittsburgh and an MSEd from Duquesne University. She is a former English Teacher, a sometimes substitute teacher, and a mother of two young children. Alexis has called Swarthmore her home for the last five years, previously living and working in the Midwest, the South, and on the West Coast. Her publishing credits include several poems in the Swarthmorean, 2019-2022. Alexis read at the Mad Poets Festival in October 2022 and as a featured poet in March 2023 at Elkins Park Free Library. She is currently working on a yearlong project celebrating her 40th, self-publishing a poem per day on Instagram @amillionalexis. When she isn’t writing poetry, Alexis enjoys walking her rescue dog, painting watercolors for friends and family, and writing picture books, which she is endeavoring to publish.
