Alyson Shore Adler is a clinical social worker who has been a therapist for over 40 years in group private practice. She has been writing poetry for the past 20 years. The workshop process and studying writing with well-respected poets has been her poetry education. She began her working life as a poetry therapist for patients in a day treatment program which later led her back to writing poetry after she watched great poets read on Bill Moyers from the Dodge Poetry Festival. That was a community she wanted to be part of.
Eleanor Wilner is the 2019 Frost Medal recipient of the Poetry Society of America for lifetime achievement; she is the author of nine books of poetry, most recently Before Our Eyes; New and Selected Poems, 1975-2017 (Princeton University Press); Tourist in Hell (University of Chicago Press) and Gone to Earth: Early & Uncollected Poems 1964-1975 (Crooked Hearts/Red Hen Press). Her awards include the Juniper Prize, three Pushcart Prizes and fellowships from the MacArthur Foundation and the NEA.
