Mad Poets First Wednesdays - Liedekev and Whittenberg

Friends and fans of poetry! I am delighted to say that our July 5 First Wednesday reading will feature poets Allison Whittenberg and C.L. Liedekev.

Event begins at 7 PM. Light refreshments will be provided, and an open mic will follow the featured reading. Accessible entrance is around the right side of the building, and there is plentiful free parking. CL Liedekev (Lee-da-Kev) lives in Conshohocken, PA, with his real name, wife, and children. He is a two-time nominee for Best of the Net, with his poem "November Snow. Philadelphia Children's Hospital" being a finalist in 2021. His work has appeared in such journals as Humana Obscura, Red Fez, River Heron Review, Marrow, and American Writers Review, amongst others.

Allison Whittenberg's novels are Sweet Thang, Hollywood and Maine, Life is Fine, Tutored (Random House) Her poetry has appeared in New Orleans Review, Feminist Studies, Alternating Current - BREATHING WHILE BLACK: Black Writers Respond to Police Violence. Whittenberg is a six-time Pushcart Prize nominee.
