Octavia McBride Ahebee’s creative work is informed by the convergence of cultures and the many ways people move throughout the world. Her poems and short stories present human relationships within the context of global inequality.  Locally, she loves to collaborate with other creatives to celebrate and highlight issues important to Philadelphians.  Recently, she did just this on a project with Mural Arts Philadelphia, where she worked with several visual artists to create a mural now found on the wall of a major market in West Philadelphia. Sowing Desire, a poem written by her and her daughter, Sojourner Ahebee, accompanies the art of this fantastic mural. She is currently working of a series of short stories inspired by her trip to Rwanda.

Amber Renee (she/her) is a chronic writer from Bucks County, PA. Known to mix mediums, Amber self-published her first book "Thoughts on This Most Recent Episode" in 2016, shortly before its musical counterpart released on SoundCloud. In January 2020 she put out a Poetry-Picture book called “i feel like i’m nothing” available online. Around the pandemic lockdown Amber started to create what she calls “Poetry-Songs," most of which can be found on SoundCloud. 2022 saw her first traditionally published book "In memory, energy" released as a chapbook by Moonstone Press. Her latest release is a full length entitled "Nothing / is Forever: a collection of sad & spiritual poems from my 20s." Find her on social media @amberreneepoet
